Experiencing a Filipino community for the first time, he sees and understands the importance of what is it to be part of D3. Carlo is ambitious and enthusiastic in his community work and will continue to give back as much as he can to the D3 community. He believes that with hard work and a positive attitude, it will allow him to work with D3 and grow together as a community.
Chris De Leon - Hello District Three! I'm Christopher de Leon from St. John's University PARE and I'm running for District Three Public Relations Officer. I am finishing my junior year at SJU studying Healthcare Informatics. This year was also my first year being External Public Relations Officer for PARE, Philippine-Americans Reaching Everyone. After this year in PARE, it has inspired me to expand that mission statement: to reach everyone. I feel that I have grown so much this year with PARE E-board that it's time for me to reach a little further in District Three. Johncen Alvin Reyes - Johncen Alvin Reyes is a Student from Union County College who is currently enrolled in the Trinitas Nursing Program. Born in Secaucus NJ and raised in Union NJ he is not a stranger anywhere. He's been active in extra curricular activities and has held a number of leadership positions. Leadership was always a part of his lifestyle and is shown in many of the activities he has done. In high school he has served Commander in the Army JROTC receiving many Leadership Awards and Medals commanding 80 cadets. In college he is currently part of the Union County College TROPA Executive Board as their President. Creating UCC TROPA helped Union County College students learn more about the Filipino Culture while informing them on current events about the Philippines. He has always been interested in D3 and the Filipino American Community and believes that joining the D3 Executive Board is a great way to learn more while giving back. Tina Santocildes - Tina Marie Santocildes is a freshman Civil Engineering major at Union County College and hopes to continue her studies at NJIT. She has devoted many hours volunteering at South Mountain Nursing Home, ARC school for disabled children, and Chesire Home Quadriplegic Rehabilitation Center. Along as a former member of her hometown's youth group for high school students, she also played a bigger role as one of her youth group's Core Team, which is very similar to the many Executive Boards in FIND, inc. As Tina Marie's first year as a member of Ucc's TROPA and FIND, inc. she has learned so much about her Filipino culture. As she continues her experience she wishes to be a part of something as amazing as this organization, progress to be the leader we are all meant to be, and expand her knowledge with the people who surround her. Jerome Viloria - Hello everyone! My name is Jerome Viloria, and I am a rising junior Biology major with a concentration in Physical Therapy and a minor in Philippine Studies. For the 2014-2015 academic year, I am running for a position as a District 3 Public Relations officer. As a current eboard member of Samahan, I am the synapse between my organization and the others within D3; I work arduously to ensure the connection between both parties is strong. I am a highly determined, organized, receptive, and approachable individual. I believe in clear-cut communication; should there be a discrepancy, I will do whatever is necessary to decipher the area of miscommunication and solve the problem. To be nominated as a future PR presents me a wonderful opportunity to grow as a person; there is no better way to further my development than stepping out of my comfort zone and challenging myself. If I become an elected official of the D3 eboard, I will strive to bolster our relationships. After attending FIND and other D3 events, I am always inspired to find ways of taking us further. I love our district in a way that cannot be measured.
