"Going into my position as D3 Secretary, I knew from the start that I wanted to make the position more than just about taking minutes or writing documents. As D3 Secretary, I made sure to not limit my responsibilities. I started creating relationships with schools in the district, and I wanted schools to know that they could go to me, as well as, their PRs. I also acted as the Co-Chair's right hand man, to help out with decisions or with tasks that needed to be done. However, being on D3 E-board was more than just the work. On D3 E-board I found a family. By the end of my term I was able to walk away knowing that each person on that E-board changed me for the better and that I wouldn't be the person I am today without them. I learned so much on D3 E-board, about myself and about my culture. It's an experience that I wouldn't trade for the world."
